MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Scholar-athletes from the West Virginia College males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving groups completed competitors at the US Open Championships on the Greensboro Aquatic Middle in Greensboro, North Carolina.



 

Sophomore Maddie Smutny was the lone Mountaineer within the A remaining as she competed within the ladies’s 200-yard butterfly. Smutny touched the wall at 1:59.65 to position fourth.

 

Redshirt senior Danny Berlitz certified for the B remaining the boys’s 200 breaststroke with a remaining time of two:00.86. Sophomore Ian McKinney touched the wall at 1:49.78 within the males’s 200 butterfly to qualify for the B remaining.
