MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 22 West Virginia College wrestling workforce begins 2025 on the street to face the Princeton Tigers at Jadwin Gymnasium in Princeton, New Jersey, on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
“Princeton has some actually good wrestlers, and this must be an actual check,” head coach Tim Flynn stated. “A few of their wrestlers had a powerful displaying on the Midlands Championship as properly.”
West Virginia (6-1, 1-1 Large 12) has not competed because it swept the sector on the Knockout Christmas Traditional on Dec. 21. The Mountaineers have been dominant, defeating North Dakota State (22-21), Wisconsin (25-13) and Campbell (31-12).
The victory towards North Dakota State marked the workforce’s first Large 12 win of the 2024-25 season.
The Mountaineers roll into their assembly towards the Tigers with 4 ranked wrestlers of their beginning lineup. Fifth-year Peyton Corridor (165) leads WVU, sitting at No. 3 in his weight class. Redshirt junior Jordan Titus (141) is ranked No. 27, redshirt sophomore Brody Conley (174) is No. 28 and redshirt senior Dennis Robin (184) is No. 25.
That is West Virginia’s second all-time assembly towards Princeton and first since 1978. Within the first assembly, WVU misplaced 9-34.
