MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After a prolonged fog delay within the morning, play was suspended within the second spherical on account of darkness on the Battle at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, South Carolina.
 
Golfers will resume the second spherical at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, adopted by the third and ultimate spherical within the afternoon.
 
The Mountaineers sit tied for third place after one spherical at -7. Within the first spherical, Pierce Grieve was -3, Max Inexperienced shot -2, Kaleb Wilson was -1, Todd Duncan shot -1 and Carson Kammann was +2.
 
At The Hyperlinks at Stono Ferry in Hollywood, South Carolina, freshman Ryan Leach leads the sphere, capturing -11 after day one with rounds of -4 and -7. Fellow freshman Hugh Donegan is +8 with the ultimate 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday. Each are competing as people.
